935 Style Shifter

A long time in the making as we've been working on this project in between production runs and daily operations, We finally have our final prototype done and installed! I think we achieved, and surpassed our goals for a bolt in shifter in a 935 style with precise short throws, and that allows you to keep your parking brake and heater controls while moving the lever closer to you and the steering wheel! pics are worth a 1000 words and a video is worth 1000 pics. enjoy

The shifter's actions are so good even Juicersr's son Thor had to have a go at it!

Our inspirations

Nice rendition of the 935 shifter.. assume this works for the 915 as well.

BTW, tell Thor that's a cool tatto he got there on his arm!

One of the best rally drivers in Denmark, back in the day, said wooden clockers was his favorite footwear for driving.
I prefer thin soled shoes, doesn't get thinner than bare feet

Each to his own.

To answer the questions so far:

We have no experience with a G50 car, other then occasionally driving one. I don't think it would work.

We don't have a final price yet, but we are aiming to have them ready for sale in the next month.

This shifter is for the 930 box, we are developing a spring loaded/gated 915 version, no one likes the 5-2 downshift.

Thor's working on his full sleeve, and hey, when you come to the shop and have to choose between changing shoes or testing a new shifter you've been working on, well, priorities man!

Looks like a way better position for the knob.

Say hello to our little friend...

Thought we would take the shifter one step further and offer a 'Boost Bung' option to allow mounting of a 934/935 style controller in the Kremer position.

Spent all day back roads blasting, shifting like John Fitzpatrick. 930 Nirvana.

Shifter bases available in either powdercoated silver or satin black. Stock black or silver knob with 917 knob optional.

915 version coming soon... PM either Pete or me for further details.

Sweet!

Have you thought about some sort of boot/cover to keep crud out of the shift ball cup and surrounding area?

Nope

We actually like seeing the shift mechanicals working.

Wouldn't worry too much about interior 'crud' affecting the ball/cup joint anyhow, it's pretty robust.

Looks real good.

As long as you, stick to the signature flip flops and stay off the beach, you will be good -regarding dirt in the cockpit.

What kind of insurance can I get if I include the boost bung (bong)

My manual boost control is torqued down, and I strap in so tight with the four point, that I can not reach it while driving.

Another great product!

I look forward to seeing a price on the 915 type when you get one made up. I like my Wevo "tall" but it's still not in the place I want it to be.

Jesper, we can insure the mounting, but not your right hand's ability to turn the happy knob.

I really like this. I mocked up a Hargett and like the position. I did not like loosing the handbrake and other controls. Hand throttles are important on early cars.

I am watching closely...
