Bosch 0 580 464 058 fuel pump
Anyone used this pump to replace their front pump? From a 93' 3.6, it has the 12mm hose end already on it. Thank you!

Rebuild it
I think the best solution is to have your original fuel pump rebuilt. I paid about $275 and the rebuilt unit looks new.

Jon,
This pump will not work for your '77 turbo because the output side of this pump is for a 12MM banjo fitting. Your OEM turbo front pump has an internal check valve and has a 10MM output which uses a 10MM banjo fitting. If you are planning to renew/upgrade your fuel lines anytime soon, you could change the front pressure line to a 12MM banjo to use this pump. It would work for '81 SC because Porsche changed over to the larger fittings in 1980.

You can get an origonal Czech Republic Bosch motorsports 0 580 254 044 pump for $170 shipped 2 day priority mail and replace the M12x1.5 check valve that comes on it and buy the Bosch M10x1.5 check valve for about $20-$30 and screw it on the outlet end. Then the 10mm banjo fitting and cap nut on your car will fit it.
'78 and later 930's had a 12mm banjo fitting so the check valve that comes on it is correct size You also need an M18x1.5 - 12mm barbed fuel line inlet adapter. There's a couple ways to do that and the Turbokraft adapter is the nicest and smallest one. Get those parts for the 044 and the total cost is still way less than all the other 60mm diameter Bosch pumps that will fit in the origonal mounting bracket while outflowing them. |

Thanks again everyone! This chassis is a 77', but it's got an 83' 3.3 motor. The front pump and lines were changed before I got the car. Sorry, I should have mentioned that. It just seemed to easy with the 058 already having the 12mm barb on the intake side. I've got a new 044. I'll run it up front.
