Dear pilican guru's need help id my 83 930 slantnose

I believe I own a 1983 German spec 930 slantnose special wishes car
need help in Identifying this ? got lots of great tips from Dave @ Werk1
Took a lot of photos which Im going to post here, will appreciate any help or knowledge ! any? message me thank you

Does your headlight mechanism have only one motor? The ones on factory Slants have only one motor.

yes one motor is the one I have

Those nuts should be flush on the heim joints, too many washers.
Looks like a real sw from what I can see.

On my Mac Pro even if they look OK, I need to rotate the 360 degrees and save them...

This looks like the slant that was on ebay a month or so ago. Did you just purchase?

Yeah that looks like a factory euro slant. the oil cooler is in the front and the hoses go through the trunk and it's got factory head light linkage and the factory windshiled washer bottle.

To Tt surgeon: Thanks for the heads up, fixed the issue, not sure why it had one extra big washer in it. Took it out, retightened and now works perfectly. Thanks for the info

To tailwind22: No, owned this car a long time but that was my listing you saw, still have the car, wanted to make sure this was a true factory slant nose before I put it back on the market. Thanks for the inquiry

Could you get a certificate of authenticity from Porsche? I assume That would solve the mistery?

Since it is an 83 it was probably done as a special wishes program car. The COA might not show it. 87 and 88 there was a code on the options list

As porkypig as mentioned, I've exchanged several emails with him. From all the photos he has provided, it looks like this '83 930 is a "real-deal" slantnose. For those looking for a factory slant, I think it would be a worthwhile endeavor to go do a visual inspection on site to confirm.

Though, I think that headlight gap inconsistency should be addressed.

Thanks Dave werk 1. The reason the headlight looked funny is when I manually put the lights up so you could inspect the H-4s & housings I hadn't replugged the battery to return them to normal position. Since then the gaps are perfect. Do you think I should try to sell the car on pelican or take another ave. Thanks again for all your help. PORKY PIG.

Those nuts are actually one time use, you can obtain replacements from porsche or ***********, our host doesn't sell them last I looked.
The hardware is very pricey.

You're welcome. I don't see why you couldn't place the ad on Pelican. I forgot to mention to you that when I received the photos from you, the orientation was wrong like the photos above. If you're using Windows operating system, right-clicking on the photo and pressing "preview" will bring up the photo in the orientation it is set for. There is a mechanism in preview that will allow you to rotate the photo. If you're using Windows XP, you must first save the photo once it's corrected. Windows 7 and 8 will automatically save the photo for before moving unto the next.

That ends our Windows lesson for the day.

If you do post on Pelican, give a history of the car. With Porsches, you can never have too little information. Give the highlights and give the lowlights. People want a fair degree of confidence about a car if they are about to travel cross-country to inspect.
Also, Pelican requires you post a purchase price for the car, so set your sights accordingly.
