WEC Silverstone. any Pelicans going?

Just wondering if any Pelicans are going to the Silverstone 6hrs next week for Porsches grand return to top flight motor racing? New car, Mark Webber, I can't wait.

I thought this might at least spark a little conversation on Porsches first LMP1 race since 1998!!

16 years without a shot at the title and no one has anything to say?
Perhaps your all too young to remember?

I went to the '98 Goodwood festival of speed and Porsche had brought the Alan McNish Le Mans winning car over from the week before. It was unwashed and just as it had finished.
This may seem a bit sad but I rubbed my ticket over one of the fenders to take home some of the brake dust and muck from the winning car. I still have that ticket in a frame!

Hey,

Have got it in the diary, have had for a while now....however, it looks like a change of plans, a bunch of us MTB'ing in Swinley on Sat, BBQ/Beer, then Enduro riding on a closed course on Sunday, another BBQ/more beer, then 1st round of British Superbikes @ Brands on BH Monday...then we go our separate ways until next year!

If it falls through for whatever reason, then back to Plan A and I'll shoot you a PM

It's a little bit of a hike for me but I'll watch it on an internet feed if it's on.

I was bummed out they didn't race that car or the class it races in at the 12 hours of Sebring this year.
Now I wonder if it will ever race in an ALMS race here in the states.

I understand it's tricky for you guys in the States, I was hoping there may be a few UK pelicans planning to go. Ticket sales have far exceeded expectatiions.
