Does this Cover it?
Making some long awaited adjustments to the old girl. I want to keep everything relative stock. Short term goal some long awaited road trips. Long term when I can get 100k for this car it is gone. I've had it 29 years and need to drive the hell out of it or sell it.
Any suggestions or changes to what is listed? Would like real Fuchs deep dish RSR style or Ruf wheels but I think these will do. ![]()

Your list looks pretty good. I don't think that the transmission mounts will work for a turbo trans carrier. The rubber mounts are not removable like the engine mounts. I have seen a video that one of the PP guys did where he purchased the trans mounts, pressed out the rubber using only a vise and a short piece of pipe. He then grease the rubber pieces and pressed them into his turbo trans carrier. If I can find it again I will pass it along.
Best of Luck, Rahl |

The suspension upgrades are stock. The Bilsteins on it are original as well as the rear spring plate bushings. Also going to dual master bc because it has big reds up front but stock in rear. Tended to lock fronts up first
![]() Saved all the original parts I guess a good decision if I do sell.

![]() I think it will look good with the RSR wheels. At the time I got the Turbo Twists many people thought they were a cool wheel as I did. Not so much now. I could have had Ruf or some legit big Fuchs but opted for the the same price ![]()

Those wheels are going to be such an improvement.

I would send the Bilstiens out and get them re-valved, you will get a better ride. I had Wevo r&r the old transmission mounts with theirs. At that time they had an exchange service.

![]() This is the precaution I have to take after letting the beast sit for 9 months before the refurb. It has to be backed in where it sits on a 3 post lift. 20 years ago there weren't a fraction of the lift options there are now and I could get 3 cars in a 2 car garage with this. It's a pain to get it lined up going backwards where the engine case has to be perfectly centered with the center of the lift a 4x6 boxed beam. ![]()

![]() Had my wife follow me out of town till it cleared up after 3-4 minutes. Hit one of my favorite sparsely traveled fm roads and cleared the wastegate. Back home ready for the new bits. Am sending all the old fuel lines in for a rebuild with the ethanol approved lines.

That's the plan. Take some shakedown cruises to New Mexico and Colorado in the next year in preparation for Rennsport V fall of 2015. Sad to think I've put less than 10,000 miles in all the years I've owned it.
That's about to change ![]()
