My new daily driver

After owning this car for almost 30 years. Last summer I told my wife if we were going to Rennsport V it might take a year to sort out all the things that could go wrong in a 5,000 mile trip. The back is exactly where I like front maybe 3/4 high. Why didn't i do this years ago. And minor surprise I got 14 mpg with proper exercise of the WG every day

Of course we all know a minimum of 20-30 minutes to bring the oil temp up and burn out the water vapor at the top of the oil tank is necessary. So a country road trip is in order every day. We do have amazingly traffic free FM roads.

For years I just burned 101 octane and every drive was balls out. My rough guesstimates were less than 10mpg. 14 mpg pretty amazing. Not that frickin mileage should matter. I really do like the Bilstein sports, 30mm torsion bars, and Tarett adj sway bars. I wish we had a track within 200 miles of here to really dial it in. We have plenty of big fast sweepers just no slower sharper stuff. Our local airport has the corporate jet hangers with plenty of room to do the drifting thing which is amusing with this setup.

You must be feeling great! Nice job, I'm sure the rewards of all your hard work is very satisfying. Maybe we'll have the chance to meet up at Rennsport V.

I only get about 11-12 on the freeway and never get double digits in the city.
