Porsche 911 project suggestion need

Hello Guys,

I’m currently working on a Porsche project started out as a swap. But after rethinking that avenue I've decided the keep my Porsche 911 1984 coupe all original. My engine is a 3.2 liter and the transmission is a 1979 Shorty 930 four speed unit. Please educate me on following real time project:
(1) What (clutch kit and release bearing, flywheel) do I need to marry the 3.2 to the 930 transmission?
(2) What size (measurement) should the output shaft be from the 930 transmission to the trail arm?
Thanks for your support

The '84 should have a 3.2L as it is a Carrera, the 3.2L is not an upgrade.
The 930 4spd has horrible gearing for the 3.2L N/A engine, are you going to turbocharge it?
The 1979 930 4spd is not a short bellhousing unit, only 76/77.

I will keep the 3.2 engine stock. I had California Motor Sports modified my 930 to a Shorty block. I do enjoy the gearing of the 930 4 spd transmission. Please enlighten on why the 930 tranny is bad for the 3.2? Any suggestion on my original questions?

Thanks for the suggestion in advance

Tell me what you like about the ratios? Is it the highway cruising rpm? I also like it but I have enough power to deal with the ratios. At 80 in 4th I'd bet you won't be able to accelerate much. 4th would be more an overdrive. The 915 ratios are meant for your engine. Even guys with 400hp complain about the tall ratios in the 930. Did they also change the ring and pinion?

I had an 87 911 Turbo and it was completely fun to drive. Therefore I decided on replacing my 915 with a 930 shorty.
Yes, I do like the highway acceleration (1st,2nd and 3rd) and “cruising” at 80 MPH in 4th is definitely ok. I had the entire tranny rebuild including the ring and pinion.
Can you shed some light on my original post?

Well did he put a shorter ring n pinion in? Maybe that's why it's called shorty? Perhaps you should state the complete build sheet.

OP was gonna do an LS vette engine swap so he purchased a later 930 4 speed gearbox and had it shortened and rebuilt. After this, project changed direction slightly with the purchase of a modded 3.2 (now a 3.4 with cams, chip, and early exhaust and will be later going efi and turbo/custom intercooler ect. Car is wide body already.
His question is what what flywheel and clutch package does he need and also what axel shafts are needed?
Lastly if anyone had any of these parts that are used but useable he's looking for them now so any help appreciated.

Standard 930 flywheel works. I used lightweight flywheel.
http://www.patrickmotorsports.com/part/930-934-935-962-flywheel-lightweight-rsr-240mm/
This kit works
1977 Porsche 911 Turbo Carrera Coupe - Clutch & Flywheel - Page 1
The fine spline axles fit and you could use either 100mm or the later carrerra and 930 108mm flanges to fit whatever you have. There are two sizes. 100mm and 108mm.
This is big
1977 Porsche 911 Turbo Carrera Coupe - Axles, Bearings & Differential - Page 1
this is small
1981 Porsche 911 SC Coupe - Axles, Bearings & Differential - Page 1
either will fit the 930 trans if the trans has the corresponding flange.
