Simplified Crankcase Breathing System on 86

Pulling the engine to replace clutch, and while it's out wanted to do some engine bay cleaning.

Anyone simplified the breathing system? My 86 has a tank off to the side, with ventilation hoses going everywhere! Anyone just connected small K&N filters to all the open ports on the engine and oil tank to clean up the engine bay?
