Please more pictures, maybe of the interior transformation? did you have to do suspension or engine modifications to make it a street car again?

interesting. I did the same to my 85 911. after using it for DE several years, almost stuffed into the wall at MidOhio a couple years ago. so decided to retire form the track.

have not taken any good pics since I reverted to street. now if I can just get this 951 project car done and ready for the track this coming year ..... then I can get started on my 930 clone project.

nice work.

looks GREAT

with the price going up i would not be surprised to see more doing this.

just curious. how much to get it back to this condition.

i about fell out of my chair when someone said they found one of teh first 75 930 turbo's and someone told them to make a track car out it.

Cool transformation, was this your track car originally or did you buy it as a track car and convert it to street?

BTW I like both versions! But the blue stripe was a little to contrasting for my tastes.

We bought it in race spec from the previous owner who had used it for a couple of years. The plan was always to make it look something like that. It still retains the elephant racing torsion bars and JRZ adjustable shocks.

Inside we have RS door panels, 5 point harness, Recaro SRD seats and half roll cage. It used to have a full one. It also got a new momo prototipo steering wheel and the backseats are back in despite being unusable. It just looks much better.

The rims got a new paint in the middle and new street tires. We're not going to use the racing slicks daily haha. New paint job on the car in the same color. OEM schwarz. Original bumper. New headlight lenses. Then a lot of small stuff that adds up.

Here's an interior shot.

BTW thank you guys for the comments

Crap. I'm in the middle of doing this exact thing. What were your biggest costs (besides paint)? Surprise costs?

The bumper was surprisingly expensive. And a lot of small things just add up. Nothing that wasn't expected.
