				Stock 3.3 930 eng and Trans weight?

			Shipping my new used 930 3.3 engine and Trans 4 speed with starter exhaust turbo and intercooler. What's the closest palletized weight for shipping and trucking company? 550 to 700 lbs but any closer guesstimates appreciated. Thx

			I haven't an exact clue (but the info would be valuable to me as well when the time comes to find a home for my "brazed" engine and tranny). I've always thought the combo came in around 700-750, but I could be dead wrong.

			Depends on the engine and how much is included. My 1978 USA in CA smog trim weighed a porky 520 pounds, and that is only the engine. Add 150 pounds for the tranny. Add 40 pounds per pallet. I would ship these sepparate as the trans may get damaged if shipped bolted together on one pallet.

			I believe these numbers to be pretty close. From older manual so could be off a little. Rahl 1975/76 Weight of engine with air cleaner (dry) kg/lbs 930/50 (930/51): 207/456 (217/478) 930/52: 210/463 From 1978 Engine weight (dry) with muffler kg/Ibs 930/60 (930/61/63): 230 / 507 (240 / 529) General Data Manual Transm. 930/30, 930/32. 930/33 and 930/34 Transmission weight 53 kg x 2.2lb/kg= 116.6 lb (dry) w /0 starter Total for engine and transmission: 1976: 478lb + 116.6lb = 594.6lb 1978 on: 529lb + 116.6lb = 645.6lb | ||
