Great 935 video on Ferrari chat

Posted by idart.
935 leaving the event.

Just another modded 930. A Porsche Kremer, not even built at the Stuttgart factory. Just think any 930 could sound just like that. Just get in touch with Woods, Holcombe (MODE), Jarvis, Kremer, Andial, Norwood, Dawe, etc. No affiliation.

Group B Cams

Does anyone know if those are "Group B" cams in a 3.4L engine?

Sounds like a Porsche special grind, compliments of Porsche race developement, maybe?? I have the groupe B cams that it was built with in a 1984 street 2 Kremer . They sound very similar, very uneven @ low RPM because of the overlap to meet the regulations.

Those are 935 cams

It was awesome that a deal was able to be made to get that car out of the Indy Museum where it languished for years.
Some parts where missing and I was one of the people sourced for various bits. Bruce Canepa and his people did an awesome job on that 935. A very important car that won Le Mans outright in 1979

This video is a little more fun

The best part is that it actually gets driven

No - these cams have nothing to do with the group B profile.

The group B profile is a relatively mild and outdated profile which I would not consider to mount in any build.

We do cams like the one in the video also with modern high end profiles.

Our partner in the US is Mr. Chris Carroll from TurboKraft.

So if you are in need of a specific cam for your street, sport and race car get in touch with Chris.

Our na and turbo cams are made in Germany and done 100 % in accordance to the Porsche Motorsport standards when it comes to material, surface and coating.

Best reg.

Dirk

Agree, better cams are available as groupe B had restrictions on the profile, however they did comply with the regulations at the time.

I have both used and NOS factory 935 cams if needed but depending on one's build I am sure more suitable profiles for much less money can be had from Dima and others

That Kremer is awesome. I've seen Bruce Canepa running with several 935s and other makes in the same class @ Laguna. In some he started at the back and by the end of a very short race either won or was close to it. Still shows why it won Le Mans outright in 79.

Here is THE MAN himself hustling our K3 around PBIR.

P.S. Van, I may need to talk to you about a set of your NOS cams for a historically significant K3 restoration.

That would be what it would take for me to give them up. Shoot me a PM

Pete
Bruce Meyer would be one of the few people who could drive a 935 on public streets in LA and get away with it
