Looking for my 930 engine

Looking for the original engine for my car would have come from the Louisiana area engine # is 68j00265. The car it came from is a 1988 930 marine blue with linen interior. Under no circumstances is it to be implied the car is for sale LOL

did you forget where you put it?

just kidding.
does it have an engine in it now? if so, does the case have a marking like 930/??. if not, the original engine/case may have been replaced. if so, its gone.

Are you in NH? Looks like a NH inspection sticker on the car.

Yes it was from NH and yes it has the proper 930 engine with proper 930 marking yet no serial number I am sure it was replaced. PNA has no records nor doe the Porsche dealer in New Orleans looks after market. I am also trying to find out who may have modified the engine. Originally a Louisiana car that made its way to New Hampshire

Well I am in NH if the engine surfaces here and you need to put some eyes on it. Let me know.

if your case hs no serial number that may mean that the original case was defective and it is now in the trash. maybe someone with more experience in that area will chime in on how to tell for sure.

what is the 930 marking on it?

That's exactly what I was fearing.
No number case is a replacement case.
I would look also for previous owners that might have information on that. If it's the original replacement it may not be a bad thing. At least to some.

as a buyer, it would not matter if it had a replacement case or if the original engine had been rebuilt. its the same thing to me. the big thing is the engine has been opened. that can be good and bad just depends on how you look at it. as a buyer a non matching case would not matter to me. thats just me.

if the case has been replaced i would suspect a pulled head stud.
