Where did you find the Michelin MXW 255/45 VR15 tires? You'll have to remove the front spacers to fit the factory 8 inch Fuchs wheel with the 225 tire combo up front - ask me how I know
![]() The 8 inch Fuchs were stock on the front for the RS 3.0 with no clearance issues but the 3-liter Turbos added the rubber valance and that's where there's clearance issues with the stock 8 inch Fuchs with 225's and factory spacers installed. I love the 9x15's Fuchs from Porsche classic. The 1970s 9x15's are great as well but so many of them were beat to death on the track. |

And you are not going to get you hands on vintage 15 x 9's for that price either.

Wow, 9x15 Fuchs and 255/45-15 Yokohama is what I ran on the front of my widebody for many years until the 255 tires became NLA. Very glad I didn't sell the 9x15 Fuchs, not so glad that the 11x15s were let go for $1000 back in the 90's so I could buy as set of Compomotive 12x15s. I'm still running those 12x15s on the 930 today with Pirelli 345s out back.
Is Fuch producing the 11x15?

I don't think so.
As far as I know it is only 7 - 8 - 9x15" and a few 16 " options - they are also available in the US: Wheels: Suncoast Porsche Parts & Accessories And so are the Michelin MXW s: https://www.cokertire.com/255-45vr15-michelin-mxw.html

Good lord those prices! Can't imagine what they would want for 11x15s should they decide to make them.

I doubt they will make 11x15s unless more tires become available. The Porsche Classic 9x15s are a smoking good deal but they were made in 2010 so now they are essentially NOS and once they are sold they are probably gone forever. It's a bummer they did not offer them in an RSR finish. The 2010 production 9x15s weigh exactly the same as the 1970s versions and from the casting marks visible under the new markings, I've wondered if Porsche may have had a supply of 1970s NOS Fuchs they simply refinished. They are exactly like the 1970s 9x15 Fuchs.

I am pretty sure the 77 930 ran exclusively on 16" Fuchs.

That looks really good. The 255/45 9x15 combo is what I had on the front years ago when Yokohama offered that size tire. I still have the set with those hard old tires sitting in the corner. They also offered 285/40 and 345/35. I tried 285 up front and 345 out back but the fronts would rub. The 285/40 out back was too short profile. Are you using 225/50 up front on 8x15?

What's odd is that I tried this exact setup on my 1975 Turbo with factory spacers and factory 8x15 Fuchs/offset and I had clearance issues on the rubber spoiler when the wheels are turned 45 degrees. Could the 1975's have different geometry than the 1976's?
