1988 Porsche 930 $39K
No affiliation, salvage title but other than that looks like a good deal, opinions. |

If you want a hot rod 930 looks like a total steal.

Wow...if I didn't already have one, you could not keep me from getting to San Diego fast enough.
As the add states the goodies alone are worth the cash, in todays market for a driver, man I'd be all over that! Even if it is white {and there really is no substitute for black}, but I'd let that slide for this one. My .02 worth. Mark |

The problem will be getting agreed value insurance.

fukkme I wish I was one of you ballar superheroes - I'd stroke a check fer that mofo w/o even blinking?
He's been one of us here on the 930 board for many years, recognize the screen name but haven't seen him post in awhile impressive build that IC is off the charts THICK! Hopefully finds a good home. Sucks to see the firesale - IMO, salvage title bedamned... to me, that's still a $50k++ car considering todaze craaaaaaazy market... GLWS |

Won't see many 930s under 40K moving forward and those that are will likely be turds or basket cases. Salvage title or not, this looks like an absolute bargain.

The car sold locally for more than asking, not surprising. Would have loved to have had that in my garage. I'd rebuild my 79 to stock specs and had this for the hot rod. Oh well.
edit - looks like he decided to keep it. Last edited by boosted79; 03-25-2015 at 02:17 AM.. |

I did decide to keep my 930 thanks to all of your comments on this thread and Chris Caroll talking me off the selling ledge. Sorry for the temporary day of insanity. I thought I hit a point in my life with a new baby and three year that would not let me enjoy the car for a long period of time. It was driving me crazy not having the time to enjoy it while it has just been sitting. I lost touch with my passion that has driven me for the past 20 years. Time to make time to enjoy the passion that drives me. Next stop is cars and coffee on Saturday in Carlsbad. Have a great weekend Pelicans and thanks again!

You made the right decision! I got mine with a 1 yo and my 2nd on the way (both girls). Now at 8 and 6 theyr'e proving to be quite the p car enthusiasts. I'm a little further north, but I would wake up early on the weekends and take a quick jaunt down Ortega hwy and back. Once I got home everyone was stirring, we'd all enjoy breakfast together. It was my ritual for sometime, the wifey knew I needed it. Once I get her back together again I look forward to picking up the habit again.

+1. If you ever do think about selling her again, you'll have lots of willing buyers here, including myself.
