Unhappy Intermittent blinkers! They decide when they want to work .....

I know it's not cool to use blinkers anymore but mine have taken on a mind of their own. After a harsh winter in storage, my blinkers are no longer reliable. They usually don't work at first but after driving a while they wake up. I wonder if the flasher could be flakey or something else in the circuit. Anyone else here deal with this?

i would suspect flasher or corroded contact on switch. Is this issue in both directions or just one?

I've had issues on my lh rear blinkers on the Carrera 3.0 it was the wiring where it protrudes the chassis to the light housing.
I guess I'll have to get new wiring for the light some day. It still occurs occasionally.

Both directions.... so I don't think it's a switch thing. My plan is to take the blinker fuse out of the fuse box, clean the contacts and fuse. I'll have to find the flasher and do the same. (although I'll need to get a schematic to see where the thing is located).

I just wondered if this was a common problem. It's dangerous to drive it if people have to guess what you are going to do. Thanks.

* edit, I reseated the flashers and it's fine again, contacts were fairly clean*
