Where to get an adapter for engine oil inlet/964 filter mod?
smartracing has gone MIA. All the articles tell to get a smartracing adapter.
Is there a stock part that could be used from a 964 or 993 or do I need some special adapter? I found a 993 engine to 911 adapter on pelicanshop but that one looked a bit deep on the flange. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1434796255.jpg Jbracing has a adapter with AN fitting http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1434796333.jpg but are there any that connect straight to the s-line? http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1434796369.jpg |
The Patrick one in your picture is what I'm using. Works great on the 3.6 in my 74 911.

To be clear, here is my 95 3.6 with the adapter above. It is for the 993 engine.

It looks like the 930 case has different style oil inlet and either of the 964 or 993 tubes would fit correctly? Its only about 4mm deep for a oring

I have the 15 degree console and have been looking for the same thing. Should have bought it before Smart Racing shutdown.
My only thoughts are to get the Patrick or JB -16 AN adapter and have a local race shop flare and bead a piece of tubing. Most AN flare tools don't go up that high, and the -16 tool is expensive. |
Your case was designed for an oil cooler. Why are you using the 993 filter console? An oil cooler would bolt right on.
