I'll state this, I barely knew electrical, I sucked at soldering (although I can arc/braze/MIG really well), and I managed to put in the most "you're on your own" DIY EFI system there is.
As I've said before, wiring EFI is as hard as installing a full sound system in a car (that'd be stereo, amp, and speakers). All I had to really learn was ground loops and what dampens noise in low voltage electrical components/wiring. Tuning is where the "real" work is at. There are lots of tricks to learn. It's a learning curve for sure, but it felt so liberating once you understand a decent amount of it. |
