You should be able to find one from our host or salvage . The a/c sys in these cars is not very good
I had a larger one made to help the condensing temp also the retro fit 134A has higher cond temp
Than the R12 it was design for . Most of the original condensers had a problem the tubing breaks off right at the tube sheet very hard to repair . Not sure where you are located you can PM me if you have any questions .

Edit - misread condenser as compressor. Do yourself a favor and buy some Kuehl rear wheel well condensers!

They can be rebuilt. And while it is true the old compressor isn't as efficient as newer Denso units, it is still capable of 35 hehe degree outlet temps, IF you upgrade the lined, condenser, drier, etc. I plan on using my stock compressor.

Charlie Griffith would be the guy to ask about what tail condenser to use.

Here is a link to an a/c restoration he is currently doing on an early Turbo -

Just yankin' yer chain a bit Kenik, but dayum that York is a very poor choice compared to other options. Yes, the York will compress the refrigerant enough to work, but it is heavy, uses far more horsepower to operate (would have to look the comparison numbers up, but they are significant), and vibrates a lot more than later model compressors. I wouldn't even consider putting one of those beeches into service in my ride.

You are building a highly modified engine for your car (other than the stock headstuds, buttofcourse ), so the ole', uber dorky "originality" idea can't be an issue, so what's the deal, bro?

Ronnie, I'm the worst kind of contrarian...an arbitrary one. I want this motor to be the nearly impossible: wicked performance and skin-deep stock looks. It's been a lot of work, seen a number of setbacks and consumed more money than I care to admit, but it is CLOSE. Speaking of arbitrary, how does a Zork pass the bar? Like I said: arbitrary. :P

BTW, in case those head studs do go, I got me a set of 993 turbo head studs thrown in with a set of sport seats at a local swap meet...for free (Thank you John Walker).

Looks like we'll finally turn a key in anger on Tuesday - wish me luck.

Back to the OP's topic...

Yer zork and 934 tribute wastgate exhaust pipe definitely do NOT pass that thar "stock appearing" test, bub! Neither does your aftermarket ignition and, and , and . . .

Cool on the back-up headstuds - honestly hope you don't need them, despite all the grief I have given you on that subject!

Sweet about the close start-up date, and good luck with it.
