Stiff steering with the cold weather change?

Drove the 930 this morning, instantly noticed incredibly heavy steering. Hadn't driven the car in maybe a week.

After it sat out on the sun for a couple of hours and the day warmed up it was back to normal.

Ideas? Beginning of the summer I re-greased the steering rack.

Def not tire pressures that's the first thing I checked.

I'm thinking it's something in the rack, was just odd that the cold weather triggered it.

You should get under there and check out the rubber boots on each end of the steering rack. They eventually dry out and crack and let dirt and rain water spray in.
It takes a little time to remove the rack, clean it up, restore it and then replace the two rubber boots but a new rack is expensive.
