Had my 930 Appraised this week
Had the car appraised as some of you have seen my car and the shape of it I personally think it is better then "Very Good" I think the non original parts probably held it back but who cares? It's mine and that's the way I like it. So that being said I can safely insure it for 90k.

Tim,
That's really interesting - I had my '81 930 appraised by AAG this week as well for insurance purposes. Mine was valued at $48K which seemed a bit low to be honest, but as you say - who cares because it's a keeper. My car also has a lot of mods and has had a decent repaint (Black Metallic - stock color), Protomotive engine '87 cases and G50 5 spd, TiAl WG, 18" Speedline wheels, Recaro seats, etc. Gonna keep driving the wheels off it! Cheers, Iain

Norm, yeah maybe I should question their valuation...
I'm not sure what sources AAG use to reach their values, but I must admit that haven't seen many $48K 930s for sale recently (at least that are complete, running cars). Thanks for the push - I'll give them a call next week. Tim, you said "safely insure for $90K" - was that AAG's valuation of your car? Thanks, Iain

Yes $90k was the number they gave me. I would def. give them a call it seems a bit low. There is a 930 shell on eBay and they are asking $54 OBO

Tim you have a beautiful car so I was not surprised at that number. That being said a friend with a very similar car to yours sold it for over $100K so that appraisal might even be on the low side.

Thanks Tim.
I'll post here if I get AAG to raise their valuation. Iain
