1982 euro 930 slant nose factory?
A friend in Oklahoma just sent me pics of this car that been sitting a few years. Owner not wanting to sell but after spending hours on here if it's worth throwing a big offer out there to get It I'll try. Here's the info below.

That is a real 930 VIN. If it is a factory slant nose, you need to check the headlight linkage. Very few companies would have used the factory mechanism which uses 1 motor and linkages to each side. The welting on the tail is rather strange as it is red. Factory welting was black. Hopefully, it wasn't a quick paint job on the decklid.

Ok bummer but that's what I wanted to know. Now I'm not worried so much about going to see as bad. Lol

I don't think it makes too much difference which headlight mechanism was used if your car is a dealer conversion done before 1986. Collectors are looking for the 505 code and none of the pre-86 slants are going to have that code. Mine is a pre-86 dealer conversion, the quality of those conversion is very good. Take a look at the fenders and brake duct area and see if you can find the Porsche part numbers. Verify everything is steel with no filler.

^^Pretty much spot-on, although you wont find a part number on those pieces. They weren't stamped with a number or triangle we're used seeing. They came with the old style factory part numbers on the peel off stickers. As RarlyL8 said; only the 86> cars had the 505 code, everything prior was a-la-carte. Also, some of the fenders were welded while later ones were stamped and thus have no seam underneath.. I don't know when the change-over was. However, the factory welded fenders are hard to define as the level of finish is very good and you really have to search for a seam/weld.. so if you cant find one, its probably factory as I've not seen aftermarket finished to that level on the underside.. and I've seen a few. Good luck and enjoy the ride!
