Seats

[930 ZZZ]

I'm looking to upgrade the seats in my 82, 930 it presently has comfort seats which are not original to the car. Does anyone know if seats out of a 2003 996 Turbo will fit or not or if any electrical issues might arise?

Not sure if they would fit but I would go with a pair of sport seat from the early 80's. Comfortable and great looking.

+1 996 seats would not be an upgrade IMHO. There's been some really nice seats from the 80s f/s here lately (particularly a pair of NOS Recaro LS) that would be much more fitting for your car. As far as electrical issues, your 82 wont have a provision for pwr.
I don't think it was an option until 86

are those recaros? my 930 project has a set, but I will be replacing with Sparco EVO2. they need to be recovered but no tears just loose material and otherwise in good shape. not sure what I will do with them.

Mine are Flofits. I checked recovering in the Torrance area, lowest was $950 in leather.

Get good seats, not something that is available and suits your price. Seats are like a women, try before you buy! I put these leather pole position in mine, but they also make a less expensive covering. Very comfortable. Philip

Recaro electric C seats, early '80's. Adjustable bolsters, 3 way adjustable lumbar support, and heated. Don't get no better.
