The exhaust turbine wheel is made if inconel. First time I've heard of one exploding but you never know...

Looking at those headers glow bright yellow to almost white hot kinda explains why (depending how much you floor it) exhaust valve guides are sometimes worn out after 40,000 miles in these cars.

That is WOT with heavy load stressing the engine to make sure it would pull timing if intake air temps started rising too much.

Great to see another 930 being enjoyed on track. The Glen and VIR are favorites of mine. I usually run the Glen with the GVC BMW guys and VIR with Chin but I don't know Riesentoter and who do you run with at VIR?

I am looking forward to the new surface at the Glen and plan to get to VIR at least once in 2016 - it would be good to be at either with another 930!
Dave

Yea, Reisentoter is the local Philadelphia area PCA group. We do a lot of track days and are a very fast group of drivers. I instruct alot with them, (HOD) Hooked on Driving, and NNJR region along with several BMW regions.

I did VIR with Zone2 PCA and NNJR of PCA in the video. All the groups are pretty good to run with, i usually just find a track i want to drive and a weekend that fits my schedule and that's how i decide.

Video from Sebring ... Back in the early days when I was running street tires. Not too good through turn 10.

Wow, there is a lot of lateral movement of your control arms. I wasn't expecting that much.

yeah it surprised me too. i have elephant racing bronze bushings in the spring plate bushings in the torsion bar housings, but stock rubber in the trailing arms. i was thinking of going to monoballs after watching this.

i was hammering on it though with DOT R tires putting lots of load into the suspension. look at how much the tire deflects.

its pretty cool watching the headers turn cherry on the long back straight.

To help you guys out, go to your videos on YT and click on "Share". After that, there's another button called "Embed".

Copy link (highlight if it did not automatically highlight for you) and paste URL/link into your post.

It'll show up as a video vs URL.
