Exhaust tip refinishing
About to reinstall the original muffler back onto an 86 930
The tip appears to have been originally black , but now the finish has worn off in areas Is there a preferred method of refinishing the tip Anyone have any experience ? Thanks in advance for any input |

You have to clean and sand them with 320 grit sandpaper first so the paint will stick and last better.
Spray on a light tack coat of the paint, let it dry around 5 minutes, and then spray on a couple wet coats around 10 to 20 minutes apart. The directions on the can may be better. Some cans of high temp puff can paint are much better than others. The best I know of is: Or you could remove them and have them ceramic coated. |
