Show me Custom Interior

Hello group, i wanted to start a Thread on Custom Interior's/Upholstery on your cars.

I would like to see what you have done, over the top. There are lot's about the exterior and Carbon fiber stuff, but nothing special on interiors.

Let see them

I'm really liking the alcantra dash and door tops (yours and others that I have seen) . . . might be something I have to do at some point!

This was the interior of my 965 when I bought it....just a bit too "sky blue" for my liking, although I did like the alcantara centre section.

I sourced a new interior, black leather on Sports option seats, so everything was swapped out and re-carpeted (hence the individual eBay photo's)

Rear seat, door handles and door bin lids had blue stitching. The door cards were alcantara, and the front seats were piped in sky blue.

...and it all sold remarkably easily on eBay, even the old heavy & thick carpet set!

Cheers

Very nice. Lots of work has gone into it. This is exactly what I would life to do, but with red stiching

Yeah it was, for the most part, very nicely made. The PO had clearly spent a decent amount on it, but was slightly let down by some of the finishing work around the door handle, and the lo-rent carpet - hard wearing, but not the OE material and very rigid/heavy. The leather was very nice though, coarse grain but very soft.

The trick to getting the stitching right - and this is the bit that'll cost you - is to bootlace the leather; like the steering wheel seams, but this should also be done on the inner faces of the door handles, but is a timely and trickier job to do that just straight stitching and glueing.

Recent project...

Dash top, knee pads, headliner sides of console, and inner panel in Alcantara. Everything else is factory leather.. seat leather to match.
(And yes, I know the clock is hanging out o f the dash.. So)

[QUOTE=empire0007;6612104]Hello group, i wanted to start a Thread on Custom Interior's/Upholstery on your cars.

This 87 930 was on a European tour 2005 era and was featured in Modified and fast car publications. All the leather other than the front seats is Ostrich. The race seats were installed after the show tour.

A few more.

Note the open area behind the center console, great place for the engine air intake. No eating popcorn. Motor is by Jarvis over 600HP on pump gas w/5 speed and Billett 935 style suspension. Also early Turbo GT 2 style body panels. Many years to complete.
