fun vid - I *truly hope* that having that biitchin of a ride for a college kid is facilitating your tappin sommadat azz!!! 8-)

not to be Debbie Downer - but - 2 things:

1) that's a whole lotta 'car' for an inexperienced driver - learn the car, learn yourself, and be careful - especially easy to get distracted when you've got someone in the car, filming, etc.

and

b) pleasepleasePLEASE buy a new passenger belt - like $75 @ a wrecker - that one won't survive a 25mph parking lot tap!

enjoy the car (and more importantly - the TAIL!!!!!)

Thanks for the response, I really appreciate all the comments!

I'm hoping to change the belts next weekend, might pick up a used DAS roll bar and a new harness setup

I'll try my best to keep the car, myself and any passengers out of danger. Despite the video I'm a pretty tame driver, never had an accident or even a ticket! This car was funded by working jobs which require a clean record, so I've really been playing it safe. If I work in Toronto this year I'll definitely get some track time and lessons to work my way in!

Nice ride but I noticed the passenger seat belt looks fraid. You should change that for safety reason.

You should work for Porsche- you just visually showed why we all love these cars. I have a 930 and I do exactly what you do, I get a lift and joy out of driving it. Your car looks great. I also will share when I was your age all I could afford was an MG! So good on you!
enjoy your car every chance you get!

Keep working hard for your fun hobby & congrats on hard work paying off. I'd suggest you budget for a spare 915 trans because it's only a matter of time before that turbo torque lunches the 915's 1st or 2nd gear. There's a reason they paired the 930 trans with the 930 engine! :D

That just looked to me like a major potential accident!!!!
An inexperienced driver, in a car that he would not be allowed to drive here in Victoria, Australia,
owing to the power of the car and his age.
Taking his eyes off the road to checkout the passenger's reaction and that bloody worn & torn seat belt, all adds up to a major potential problem for mine.
He needs to get to Porsche or similar driving school quick smart. When/If, the back comes around to say hello to the front, I wonder if he has any idea what to do?
I came across that scenario, some 29 years ago and lucky I had been advised what it was and what to do.
