HELP ID 930 bumpers, euro or us???

Hi

the shop, Dell Autobody, Campbell, Ca, sent me these pics. They realized the new, and painted bumper is different from the original one.
Do any of you know if this is a euro versus us difference?

They said they may not be able to get the original one, is that correct?

Heres my Euro Bumpers

I don't know if they can be purchased or not..
If not im sure theres a Market for them then as they will be harder to get over time due to attrition, look in local classifieds that's where I got mine.
I needed a set because a PO converted it to a 964 look.

Thank you.

Still not conclusive whether the new bumper the shop bought is euro or us 930 or something else.

I'd say the top bumper is US and the bottom Euro. The small bumper boobs (booblets?) of the Euro have no holes in the recessed flat part of the center section.

I agree with Paul.

btw Euro bumpers can still be found. I found mine at nineapart in Canada. I did a search on them and their reviews weren't that favorable. Truth is they gave me the best price and the shipping was extremely fast and reasonable...plus the bumper was in excellent condition.

The freshly painted bumper is a US spec, as sen by the holes for the (very) large US bumper pads.

As to it being 930 or 911, look for threaded holes on the top of the bumper. These are to attach the heat sheld that goes between the turbo and the bumper. The carrera bumper does not have them.

Thanks guys!

It has threaded holes for the heat shield. US bumper it is.

An old thread pick me up
Does anyone have a photo that they could share showing the threaded turbo heat shield and this threaded hole?
I am in the market for a correct 1987 Turbo rear bumper and heat shield.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help!

you can just weld up the other holes. That's what I did with mine when I swapped it from the us to the euro pads.
