Boost Gauges that Replace the Clock?
Who currently makes them? NHS. Others?? Custom?? I am building a Hotrod and want something
that looks period correct. I really like the ANDIAL ones and especially the LED vintage ones. Thanks, T

i did not care for the other options, mainly because of the cost, and none of them offered the 80mm gauges with white faces. I found an old greddy gauge on ebay for $50, but i am not concerned with looking period correct.
![]() Here is a brand new RE Amemiya gauge(made by greddy) on ebay currently it is an 80mm, and a perfect fit. Last edited by scottrx7tt; 05-19-2016 at 06:18 PM.. |

I love my NHS boost gauge - probably not the look you are going for on a hot-rod since you mentioned the LED gauge. I like it because it matches all other gauges and also reads vacuum.

This is up for grabs...
I have an original one that I bought off a fellow Pelican that I never installed. I had a reset key made for it. It looks beautiful and total period correct, and actually - it is. If you want it from me, hit me up at: cmarkin@me.com

Boost gauge taken...
The moment I posted (10 minutes after) my buddy called and grabbed it. If he doesn't want it, i'll post it on the forum or even better email the three respondents in order of reply.
Sorry guys - He was quick! |

I will probably be selling the 2.0 bar boost gauge that came in my 930 project.
I am building for DE/street and want to get a modern boost/AFR combo gauge where the clock goes. have not pulled it out yet. interest?

I have never had a tell tale VDO break on me. Had them in my street cars and my race cars. In a few of my 935's they have had both the LED and Tell Tale. I always found the LED ones break or work intermittently . You could find them loose everywhere in the 1980's and 1990's because they didn't work well and most people took them out. Every Porsche shop in the country had a take out if you wanted it and now are hard to find and everyone wants them. Problem is they usually don't work and do not have the proper sending unit. I bought the Tell Tales and the nice 930S steering wheels with the gold crest back in the 80's/90's from AJ USA . The tell tales were a 110 bucks with key and install kit. The 930S wheels were 225. I think that included the hub. I took these in my garage and you can see the LED and Tell Tale side by side in the 935. Not too uncommon . Just easier to see the LED one at night. ![]() ![]()

You will have to ask Mr Franz Blam about the door frames. I will look in my build photos and see if there are some shots of them

I think they made their debut on the 917s, but Porsche used them for years in their Werks cars. ![]() |
