965 TCU and fuel pump trigger

Lets see collectively what you guys might come up with. I am bringing up an old subject to see what others have found out over the years. I am looking for a way to activate the fuel pumps through the TCU or by other means as they are currently bypassed to work with the Electromotive ignition I have in the car. Current state=key on, pumps on. I have long sold my scope so I can't compare the two waves to see how I could do this. I don't want to have the pumps run with the key anymore and would like it to function as the TCU originally intended. Car sees the ignition signal and it runs the pumps. The signal drops, the pumps shut down. Has anyone figured out how to get a tach signal from the electromotive and feed it properly to the TCU? How about a GPO that takes a tach signal and uses that as a trigger? Something like a shift light trigger but set for 1RPM trigger from a tach?

Thinking out loud here and thought I would see what is out there.
