Is this a suitable engine temp sensor for MS/FrankenCIS?

The simple VW bus head temp sensor suggested in an alternate thread is now made of unobtainium. I'm looking for an alternate way to sense engine temperature.

I was considering this. It is supported/suggested for MS installations.

Would this be a suitable sensor for this particular application? If not, suggestions for better alternatives?

I was considering mounting in the breather cover in place of the thermovalve. Either machining an adapter, or drilling/tapping as necessary to make it fit.

Would this be a suitable location? If not, suggestions for better alternatives?

Thanks

I did exactly what you're saying with that sensor mounted in the breather cover. Works well for me.

Thanks Dos531.

Where did you pick up manifold pressure?
