Bulletproof Airbox 78-83 for Superchargers and Turbo's
The airboxes boxes are done, I still haven't weighed it yet. It comes in two pieces. The replacement for the lower portion of the airbox (if not using CIS) and the replacement for the upper portion (for use with factory CIS). This was made for boosted applications but will work either way. It can have the Pop-off-valve set at a large range of pressures, or it can be assembled without. It uses the fuel distributor from a stock airbox for the cold start valve. It is tig welded, vacuum tested, pressure tested and anodized. They are made from precision details and assembled on a jig. O-ring seales used thru-out.

Wow!!!
I would prefer it anodized black, but that is some nice craftsmanship.

The boxes are for sale, many colors
We are now making these. they can be anodized many different colors. The test one is now running on the stand. Had a few hickups on starting, I had left a couple vacuum lines open. When it tried to start in these conditions there were a couple backfires. the valve opened and no damage was done. All of the factory connections bolt up, with some extra ports for a MAP sensor, and a air Temp sensor. If you are not using CIS and going to electronic fuel injection, you only need the base part of this assembly. The super charger will be put on tomorrow. It ran excellent normally aspirated, 22 pounds of vacuum at 1000 RPM. No leaks, solid idle, excellent start cold or warm. The factory WUR will be replaced with the Franken CIS unit as well. This engine is running on a test stand.
