Chocolate Rocket Siting

Miguel crashed the party today at Oktubberfest '16. Always a pleasure to see Miguel and the chocolate rocket!

I asked Miguel about his wheels, he said they were Lindsey's. They do look really nice and are deep dish.
No I did not know my former car was on eBay, I'll have to take a look!

I have same rims but IMO the black center does not look as good on black as it does on brown. I need to figure a better color for the rims. Possibly gun powder or copperish?

I had a 1974 Carrera with gold center fuchs...that looked much better than the black, IMHO. I never liked the black centers as it makes the detail of the fuchs go flat and you miss the beautiful detail.

For a black car I would think that a polished wheel would look best. Silver and black...can't beat that. You can set the amount of polish to your personal taste.

Polished is too much work for me and the theme is dark and shiney rims would be too much hotspot.

Miguel's 930 is the coolest one I've ever seen. Cockney Brown FTW!

smurf -- if you powdercoat, do it at as low a temperature as possible. Some wheel manufacturers, like BBS, advise against powdercoating because of the high temperature of the curing process.
