The new Car

I have been after this car for a long time. On a fluke I called my friend who has owned it for many moons and he actually sold it to me. He raced it for years but put it away 6 years ago so it needs some love. Want to put the original GT2 flares on it. Engine is fresh and it is an original red car.

My goodness...you already have quite a collection of awesome race cars and you wanted another one!?! Not saying it's a bad thing but wow it's a good problem to have many cars to maintain.

BTW...that's one cool car. Are you planning on tracking it after freshening it up?

Some of my cars went to a US collector in a package so the herd has thinned a bit.

I will run it as is. Motor has 5 hours on it so good to go but the car is well raced over the years so now is the time before restoring it

Is that a real GT2 Evo? One of my all-time favorite cars if so - guard yer loins (even it it's just a close "copy" of that car)!

I can't wait to see it with its boss, fender flares bolted on (JustTheTIPpy, and a few other choads here here don't like bolt-on flares, can suckitandsee!!!)!

Thanks for sharing the enthusiasm guys.

It is a real factory GT2 with a Bob Holcomb massaged motor and upgraded ECU. The rear quarters were cut off early on , doors and front fenders replaced with Patritti Racing pieces but I have the original Aluminum doors and the original rear quarters.

I spoke with Jürgen Barth about the car and he sent me the factory build sheet. It is one of three red GT2's

No PCA events. Car qualifies for vintage now

I have original rear quarter panels that were cut off another GT2 so that is huge help and I have the original aluminum doors and I know where the original aluminum front fenders are.
