anyone ever fit a 16x8 et 10.6 Fuchs in front?

hello guys

im wondering if anyone ever ran with 911 fuchs 16x8 et 10.6 in the front? any rubbing or brake clearance issues? im running about -2 camber up front no rolling at the fenders at the moment.

here is mine with 16x9 and 16x8 et 23.3 951 on the front. i rather see if the 911 16x8 will fit rather than getting spacers and longer studs for now.

thanks!

pf

Depends on what year your 930 is. The early 3.3L ('78/9) have hubs that are 1" inset with no spacers which means to run the 8 or 9 x 16 will require spacers. I run the OEM 9x16 wheels of the front of my '85 with no spacers. Fit perfect.

its an 84 so no removable spacer... if the 9x16 is a perfect fit than the 16x8 et 10.6 would sit out about 6-7mm less than the 9x16.

i would run a 9x16 in front if i can find wider tires for 10 or 11 rear but i only know one hp-street 265-45-16 tire. perhaps an inch taller 11x17 in the back?

cool thanks!

Yes I run 9x16 front with 245/45-16 and custom 12.75x17 on the rear with 315/35-17 tires. Work very well.

I thought 335 17's had an aspect ratio of 35%? 335/40-17 would be way to tall and also too wide. 335/30-17 would work if there were such an animal. I ran 345/35-50s for many years but those tires are only 24.5" tall so you can get away with them being too wide.

Here is a side view of the 9x16 ET15 up front with wide 315mm 17's out back. It isn't overly obvious that the rears are an inch taller than the fronts because the aspect ratio sidewall height is similar.

thanks for posting the pic. i was hoping to run something like a 275 35 17 in the rear to better match the 245 50 fronts. but there isnt much of a selection since most are 40 series for 275's.
Getting close to 24.5 height would be ideal. most of the wide 17inch rears are about an inch or more taller. your dont look bad with the rears taller....much like the mismatch dia of the 935.

i have no power since mine is a M491 though its twin plugged, RS mahle and cammed. so the smaller diameter would help with the overall gearing.

Ideally for my RUF and especially to have one more wide selection of tires, by keeping(guarding) the same height as my origin 17 " RUF (OD 0.636m), would be needed of 295/30 and of 245/40 in 18 ". 18 "/11" and 18 "/8.5" . On the other hand I do not know how to calculate the value of him "ET" for front wheels and back.

ET depends on how much dish you want and the year of your 930. Spacers are used in the rear so you have an inch or so to play with there. I prefer not to add spacers or adapters to the front. Ultimately it may come down to wheel selection. 9&11x18 are the common size and will come in pre-determined ET unless you purchase custom offset.

Hello RarlyL8,
In front I do not have to espaceur with my wheels 17"x 9" RUF "ET=17.7, in back wheels I have a big person(main part) to espaceur (of memory(report) he has to make 21mm of thickness) 17"x 10" "ET=5
Originally my car is one Turbo S of 1983 transformed then into RUF BTR.
HRE proposes in all the sizes (among which 18 ") the model which interests me R101 LW ( Lightweight) a lot.
