Deck height

Yes, by altering the rod length with the eccentric. It seems like a simpler system, getting it to work and be reliable is something else. It has to add some mass to the rod and then they have to trigger the solenoid remotely somehow to let oil in or out of the actuator chambers. Maybe they have a separate oil supply to just the rod journals and change the oil pressure to open or close the valve , who knows? Imagine having 11:1 or so off boost and then it drops to 8:1 when the boost kicks in. Couple that with twin turbos, VVT, direct injection, DOHC, four valve pentroof heads and you're talking some serious torque from just off idle to redline.

Does any of you know if this is going in the new gt2?

It isn't. Looks like first use will be in the new 960 mid-engine supercar with 3.9L four turbo, four cam flat 8 due for release in 2019. Only 650 HP? I bet that car will be an absolute joy to work on.
