930 manual boost controller valve console
Looking for dimensions of this part. It mounts the 935 boost control regulator between the seats in a 930. I just got a sheet metal brake so should be easy to make.

Interesting all this. My 1979 Kremer came with the boost controller mounted in the centre console, where the tapes where stored, Have seen some Kremer 930's with it mounted at the rear
happy with the console mounting because : Cannot be knocked when fitting seat belts or rear passengers Most 935"s ( mine included ) were mounted forward, helped orientation of increasing / decreasing boost Looks better ( great looking bit if gear ) Arthritis, easier to reach forward than back !!! |

I like the pictures, but would be better if shown with ruler for scale, even better if some one could use the ruler and report back some dimensions.

My DOD is the most popular conversation piece at car shows, love it. Just got my waste gate squared away with a new diaphragm and fittings, dropped from the 1.2 bar that I love to the .5 that I don't. Next step may be to reattach the hoses, or maybe find a .9 spring. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1496838343.jpg |
Sorry I can't help with your console measurements, but let me bother you with a question.
My valve has the vertical chambers open http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1497025442.jpg Are yours plugged top and bottom? http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1497025804.jpg |
Plugged

What is the boost range adjustment for the "dial of death"?
|
The range is 0,8b. So putting a weaker spring in the WG is a must. As I wished to keep my factory WG (true piece of Motorsport history fitted to 934/935/956...), I put the weakest spring available i.e. the 0,5b one from the 924 Turbo.
So technically my range of adjustment is 0,5b to 1,3b... having a tell tail boost gauge is very helpful to check where you're at when making adjustment. You can still add a bolt on the adjusting screw to reduce travel as a safety measure. |
I have a bunch of these (the spare knob is reserved for Marco tlg)

Got any pictures of the inside of the regulator? I suspect the diaphragm is made of in inconel but my original one still works and don't want to risk taking it to pieces.
