Wastage Spring Identification
Need help to identify this spring.
From other spring id postings, I could not find one that matches this one This one as you can see on the picture has 6 loops and is slightly taller than others that are on past postings. ![]() Here are the measurements: Width = 2.706" Wire thickness = 0.192" Uncompressed spring length/height = 7.6250" From other members and past postings I understand that stock pressure for 76-77 930 wastage spring was 0.6 bar, is this correct? Is this the factory spring or is it an upgraded spring? Thanks Ivan

A member wrote to me the following message:
That spring looks to be a 0.8 bar spring from a 3.3 although I typically see 0.196" wire diameter on the oem 0.8 bar 3.3 springs. What you car do you have? I have a 77 turbo with 3.3 bottom end (pistons and heads) so I guess it has a 0.8 bar spring from a 3.3 turbo?

I've tried all of these measurements and they are so inconsistent as to be useless.

For what it is worth I Just measured a .8 bar spring as follow: diameter .210, width 2.726, and 6.375 long.
