CIS twinturbo + twin-injectors + ITB from Germany
Dear turbo fans ,
last weekend, I visited the “Monza Classic“ race in Italy. This event is part of an international championship - https://peterauto.peter.fr/en/classic-car-events/ - which is hold on European race tracks, with participants from all over the world and a lot of very interesting cars. Here are some pics of a pretty rare 934.5 version. There are only less than a handfull cars with this configuration that were built in Germany. They only differ in marginal details and they are presumably the strongest and fastest Porsche CIS flat six turbo engined beasts around. In this particular case, we are talking about a twin-turbo, twin-injector, ITB set-up. Fellow Pelicanite Dirk, from Edelwiess Motorsport in Germany has a pretty deep insight on this configuration and the repective components... Here we go ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Very cool. Not much room left in that engine compartment. I'm wondering if that turbo drain pot ties into the sump plate or they use a scavenge pump.

The 934.5 car shown in the link, looks like the former car of German gentleman driver
Christopher Stahl and it was pretty successfull here in Europe. I'm pretty sure that the shop pics were taken in Germany. With the twin-injector configuration you can literally extinguish the spark plugs. These engines were able to generate some serious hp numbers and they had some interesting battles with the 935. Enjoy the sound and the flames... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g37Q4O_zUgM G |
