Anybody out there have a working Auxiliary Oil Pump for a turbo? Mine is an 86. Its been sitting in the shop for a month while the wrench tries to find one.

D'you mean the turbo scavenge pump?

I mine was replaced with the Clewett pump (w/ sync sensor). He also does one without, so that's an option if you get stuck.

I'll ask him what happened to my original.

[EDIT] There's also one on Flea Bay (no association): https://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-930-911-Turbo-OEM-Oil-Scavenge-Pump/263421783894?hash=item3d55296f56:g:usgAAOSwjIVaT~~ v

Yes, turbo scavenge pump. Aux oil pump is what my wrench said was the right description for it.
I will have to Google "Clewett pump". Fleabay is selling one "as is" for $200!? Sheesh. I guess if you really need one you buy it and see if it works. Luckily, I don't need one that bad yet, but thanks for the link. I should have known Fleabay would have one.

If you need it, Clewett item is here 930 Turbo Scavenge Pump w/Cam Sync [1002-10-S] - $695.00 : Clewett Engineering, The complete solution for ignition & fuel injection

It's not cheap - and also not junk. It's very nicely made and works well. Seem to recall someone here recognized the gears as OEM from a VW application. Description says it has the capacity to deal with twin and/or BB turbos.

that one on e bay doesn't look like the scavenge pump on mine. looks like it has a different gear set part of which is missing.

It's kind of a ****show, isn't it? At least that pump isn't $1700...

I larfed hardest at this one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-911-930-965-TURBO-Scavenge-Oil-Pump-Aftermarket/311727018117?hash=item489460d085:g:r8YAAOSwHsRYDke A

Yes, a used Clewett pump (available from Clewett new, with a cam sensor, for $695). But if you buy from LA Dismantlers, it'll be a mere $999! Oh, and without a sensor...

08-20-19 : SOLD Thanks
1 good used pump left over.

I have a good used billet higher volume turbocharger oil scavange pump. Yes guts and cover are from VW engine oil pump. Removed in good working order from a bi turbo Mode project.
Would like $380 for it shipped.

Or I also have 2 complete original pump assemblies complete with housing. Need $650 for one of those.

If you have not sold it already, I would love to buy the high volume pump from you. I live in Phoenix, so I could pick it up from you in person, if that is alright.
Thanks, Oliver

Kraftday, would you be kind enough to tell me if the fittings on that pump are AN and is it a dash 8 ? Do you know off the top of your head? Many thanks

Hi yes, -08AN would be the matching size.. original would be M18 unions.

Usually these types of adapter fittings would be 3/8npt to -08AN

ANAF-M18-08 : Hose End Adapter Fitting - M18x1.50 Male to -08AN Male Black Anodized Billet Aluminum - OEMETRIC
Ideal adapter to PORSCHE PN: 930 107 338 00 : Turbocharger Oil Scavenge Pipe

Thanks again for the help. I recently got everything sorted out and the pump o-ring replaced as it was leaking out the main cover so I figured it may be losing pressure. After doing so, it is still leaking. Does anyone know who actually makes this pump and if they have the correct o-rings and specs as to how much vaccum pressure it makes until the pump is no longer good?

There was so much oil coming out of the exhaust pipe as I feel that the scavenge pump is not doing it's job.

Thank in advance everyone.

Hey, are you referring to the aftermarket VW oil pump version? The o-ring on the cover you could just measure and find locally...

If you have an original scavenge pump P930, then there are several seals to renew.

It's common for the aftermarket oil containers (oil drip reservoir) to not be vented as the factory container was. B&B, Fabspeed have no vents on their drip reservoirs.
