fair price for intercooler
I am going to list this over in the FS section. What is a fair asking price?
It came with a turbo setup I acquired in 2016. It is a full bay, and was used to mount to a modified factory 3.2 AFM unit. The core measures approx. 29x14x2.75" with a inlet OD of approx. 2.5" ![]() ![]() ![]() |

That’s a nice piece, I’d say maybe $500-700?

Its amazing how prices fall as the fab work on that IC is easily $2,500...

That’s highway robbery slow! There’s nothing hard to make that one except time.

Full bay...$1200. Start there, anyway.
But, at only 2.75" thick I wonder if it may have the same overall heat removing surface area of something 6"deep but only half bay...which might go for up to $700 (thinking of the B&B I have on mine).

From my understanding, anything over 3” thick doesn’t result in that much extra efficiency. Better flow can be achieved, but less heat dissipation apparently.

Really? Then I'm hiring you to do all my aluminum TIG fab work!

I bought a used Blown6 full bay unit about that size years ago for $900 and thought it was a good buy. I would start north of $1000.

That IC is for a niche market. It will require a good bit of additional fab work as its set-up to be used with the 3.2 air-flow meter.. which will require considerable tuning to the Motronic DME. Also, low boost application considering the standard 3.2 compression ratio.
I think at $5 -$700 it will move.. anything above that and its gonna stick around awhile. Just my opinion.
