A well restored or excellent original with high miles and rare original color means nothing to many that comment on a cars value, here or on BAT. I think this is an example of that misconception.

Speaking of misconceptions how about the highest known price ever paid for any car ( $70 mil ) for the recently bought 250 GTO that was actually modded and raced!
BTW the buyer probably also has the best and largest private collection of Porsches, no less. As I recall the 250GTO was also a car that could be street driven as it was originally derived from the relatively high production Ferrari 250 GT. Sound familiar?

Australian dollar is currently 0.77 USD, so in USD it's $480K. But obviously still a pretty big chunk of change, though RHD '75s are pretty darn rare.

Yeah, pretty well known guy and he does have quite the collection.

My bud and his wife had dinner with him during this years running of the California Mille.. of course I was supposed to co-drive, but that's another story!

We have a Ferrari 250 GTO clone here in this area, its built with all period Ferrari parts except it has the engine form a 330 as opposed to the 250... and its just tits let me tell ya!!
