Machine Shop in Central Virginia
Any recommended machine shops in Central Virginia? I'm located in Richmond. Looking to have guides done and heads decked (if needed)
Thanks! |

Hi Yahh,
If I was to do another engine rebuild, i would trust Ballos Precision Machine to do cyl head work. They know that they have to take the same amount off of each head so the cam carrier doesn't bind and beyond that, there isn't anything too special about these. They have done at least one aircooled rebuild recently on a 2.2 I believe. i used them for my crank and rods with nothing but good things to report. I know Lufteknic sends their stuff off to Bill at xtremecylinderheads.com I used EBS for mine a couple years back. So you could remove the heads and ship them out too. just a thought. I'm in richmond (southside) and love to talk cars with others. Feel free to call or text if you need any help or want to trade notes. 540-537-1545 Shaun
