SF-600 Flow Bench
I have a flow bench so we are set.
![]() I would be agreeable to run various test for the cost of tooling while I learn how to get good repeatable data from this bench. I picked up a flow bench at a yard sale a few years ago. It has been a very low priority project to get it going, and accumulate the necessary supporting tools, clean the manometers, get the software to run, etc. I have a “to do list” before it is ready to put heads on it. Little surgery is coming up, so I will have some cad time to finish a design for a valve opening tool, during recovery. A Pelican community project would be a good starting point. Working real issues, having good questions and feedback is always a better way to learn a subject. I have also bought an old valve grinder, needs one more belt and a simple mounting tool machined for the diamond dresser before it is fully operational, again I am very open to discuss how a community project might work. Data open to all, data open to contributors. Lots of room for different contributors, port cad models, 3d printing, tooling, tooling design, parts, bench time, NC programming, machining, cfd etc Full disclosure, retirement is on the horizon in a few short years, hope to retire to the garage and make some lunch money with this bench. For now, willing to work for tooling. Speedy Squirrel, Yes Ricardo does has nice equipment, was there a couple of times a few years ago. AVL, FEV, Roush all have nice test equipment. ![]()
