WTB correct oil line 2.4T CIS previously converted to pressure fed chain tensioners
Hi,
I am having the motor out for a transmission overhaul and am trying to adress some oil drips. It seems like I need to replace the oil line that provides the T-Junction to the pressure fed chain tensioners. I was able to find out from research that the 2.4 CIS needs a specific oil line - but on pelican I can only find the non-cis model. Where do I get the correct one (without buying an 800 $ conversion kit) Thanks!

Pressure fed tensioner oil lines.........
Topo,
Contact Flat6pac (Bruce A.) regarding these specific tensioner oil lines. I remember him posting the correct part numbers. People have been getting the wrong oil lines. Send him a PM. Tony |

From my memory there are only three cam tower oil lines. Bank 1 (driver's side) are all the same 930 107 347 1Y. Bank 2 (passenger side) have a short line and long line. The difference was due to the oil pressure switch located next to the fan housing. The switch threads into a square block. The block is the reason for the shorter line.

The first Of the oil pressure switch on the 73 was by the fan but it had a shorter base block.
Use the longer one or get a later block to space for the shorter more available line but you’ll need a new large base sender 0-10 atm Bruce |

Early press fed cam hose
Back in the day the OE kits were only available from Porsche but were absolutely complete with all parts needed for early or late cars but as time went on they whittled down the included parts to the bare minimum. Many of the kits i installed back then were on later cars that had the oil pressure sender adapter block that Bruce describes so i threw the spare early lines in my misc cam hose box.
I sold a few now and then but still have a half dozen or so. If you find a hoarder like me in your area they will probably have a stash of them like mine but keep in mind most of the NOS hoses you find for that application are going to be 20-30 years old. If you want to convert to be able to use the newer and more readily available short hose you can do so without relocating the oil pressure sender by using the parts listed in the pic.
