Gains from going 3.0 to 3.2 but still on CIS?
Good day folks,
My '83 SC 3.0 engine [US spec] is being rebuilt at the moment and the guy doing the work says the barrels and pistons are ovalized and need replacing. I could replace with Euro-spec standard 3.0 or opt for the Mahle 3.2 kit. I already have a backdated exhaust but will be sticking with CIS. What gains can I expect from going with the 3.2 kit? Cheers, JB |

Hi.
If you go with Mahle 98mm 10.3:1 cr p/c, 964 cams and euro spec fueldistributor togheter with your back dated exhaust you should be able to get 220-230ps. It will be a good and snappy 3.2 short stroke engine with lots of torque and a super midrange. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Last edited by Litle brother; 03-10-2019 at 08:21 AM.. |

you might consider going with frankencis to manage the mixture and ignition to get even more out of it.

Have you also considered going to the larger '78-'79 / Euro CIS?

Here's the p/c kit that will be the best choice: https://www.fvd.net/no-en/10010303200/mahle-32-l-piston-and-cylinder-set-1031-98-mm-big-bore-for-911-30-l.html Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Why not go for a 3.3 with p/c from LN Engineering?
Cheaper than FVD and 3% bigger bore = 3% more power (isch) |
