NOW AVAILABLE FOR ORDERING - How To Rebuild And Modify Porsche 911 Engines!!!

Hi everyone. I have just confirmed that the books are on a truck, headed for Los Angeles, as I write this. We are expecting to ship them out next week. For those of you who ordered the preview copy - do nothing - yours will be mailed to you with the Bonus CD-ROM as soon as they arrive.

For those of you who would like to order a copy now, you can do so at this URL. It will also be shipped out next week as soon as they arrive:

http://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/shopcart/BOOK/POR_BOOK_101pro_main3.htm

If you order it along with something else, then your order may be delayed until the book comes in. Choose USPS Priority Mail for the lowest shipping rate ($5.50) for both the CD-ROM and the book.

All books purchased through Pelican will be autographed by me!

NOTE: If you have already placed an advance order through another book store or Internet store, I suggest that you CANCEL IT! You can ONLY get the Bonus CD-ROM (4000+ photos) from Pelican. The CD-ROM and book bundle are $34.95. The CD is available separately for $15.95 for those who insist on purchasing the book elsewhere.

IF YOU WANT TO SUPPORT PELICAN AND SUPPORT THIS BBS, BUY THE BOOK HERE. IN ADDITION TO GETTING THE BONUS CD-ROM, BUYING IT HERE BRINGS IN MANY MORE DOLLARS THAN BUYING IT ELSEWHERE. I make about a buck or so on each book if you buy it elsewhere. I make quite a bit more for Pelican if you buy it here. IF YOU WANT ME TO CONTINUE SPENDING MY TIME TO WRITE QUALITY BOOKS LIKE THIS ONE, THEN PLEASE PURCHASE IT FROM PELICAN. I cannot stress this heavily enough.

Here is the blurb on the new book:

Wayne- Awesome! Terrific! Fanastic! ........ Way to go!

I really appreciated the preview copy. I can't wait to get my hands on the final version with the color photos next to the associated text. I want to say how great it was of you to make a preview copy available for those of who .. JUST COULD NOT WAIT.

Thanks again

I'm already planning to turn my preview copy into the one that lives in the garage. It will lay flat on my bench better than the bound copy... and I wont have to wory about getting greasy fingerprints on the color pictures. Only wish it had that darn apendix A with the specs. I'd probably laminate that, if I had it.

Wayne, It's about time. After I get the book, I think I will be ready to go for putting the engine back together.

Great news!
Looking forward to the full meal deal (those thumbnails were kind of hard on my old eyes!)

Fingers crossed !

Ordered the book and hopefully it will arrive at the same time as my parts arrive. ( Due to taxes etc they are ordered from germany, sorry Wayne)

I am so tired of cleaning my parts and the sun is shining outside just calling for me to drive the car....

Doug Zielke 03-25-2003 10:52 PM

I was wondering how you've been doing, brandett.

Trust me, you'll find Wayne's new book absolutely fantastic.
Follow it to the letter and you won't go wrong.
Please keep us posted as your project continues, and good luck!

brandett 03-25-2003 10:56 PM

New job, new kid, no time for the Porsche, but thanks for asking Doug. Will post some updates and hopefully also update my homepage soon.

As for the preview copies, I would suggest that everyone just sort of tuck them away in a box and keep them as 'collector editions.' There are a bunch of errors in there, and a bunch of missing text. The final version should be the only one referenced, as it is 99.99% correct...
