Euro spec conv. advice needed
I'm in the UK and have a Swiss 3.2 with the US spec low compression motor. As I'll shortly be pulling it down to do the valve guides I've considered changing to the higher compression Euro spec pistons.
1. Do I need to change my cylinders for this? (i.e. Do the higher comp pistons have a different ring position relative to the piston pin & could this cause problems if fitted to a 70000 mile motor?) 2. what other changes to I need to make (if any?). Thanks, Nathan |
I think that the Euro pistons have a different shape on the top, which gives higher compression. I don't think there's anything involved, except the actual swap.

I had Euro pistons or Euro piston and cylinders in my US 3.2 from the previous owner. No problems.
