are standard bearings the same across all models?

I was going to order some Genuine Porsche Main Bearings, including the nose bearing.

Porsche's official classic website states that Part No. 96410190100 is for 911, 959, 964, 993, and 996 models.

I find that hard to believe that the same bearings works across different engines.

Can anyone confirm this?

Here's the link that shows what I'm talking about.

Without lazily checking my spec books, I think they all used the same main journal sizes for the years mentioned in the ad you posted, with the proviso that 996 refers to the GT3 models only.

That is my recollection.

ok.. well what I wanted to verify is that the description for that part says 1987-1989. What's odd is why would a 1986 3.2 be different than a 1987 3.2? Do 1986 3.2 engine have different bearings?

Over the years, there has been two different nose bearings for 911.
The difference is outside diameter of the bearing.
