To Shuffle Pin or not to Shuffle Pin

I am rebuilding a 3.0 that is a dedicated race engine. I am using an 1980 Case. The guys that do most of the work for me in the past recommend shuffle pinning and align boring the case. I know Bruce Anderson's book says that there is no need to do this (Shuffle Pin) with an aluminum case. Would anyone including Wayne care to comment ?

How many horespower are you targeting?

Unless you're taking a 3.0L case over 300 HP, there's really no reason...
