with respect to head porting, on racing motorcycles certain models are modified using epoxy to reshape the ports.

Maybe this is an option instead of having to buy new heads?

Good point. I know of a Porsche shop that uses a specialized epoxy to repair damaged ceramic inserts on later 911 exhaust ports. Another option to reduce oversized ports is to machine them to accept an insert.
